Livelihoods and Economic EmpowermentOngoing
Project Overview
Moringa is a nutrient-dense plant that grows well locally. NISD supports women producing moringa-based food products and handmade textile goods, addressing household nutrition and household income at the same time.
The work covers production, presentation and access to a market — the three things that decide whether a community enterprise lasts beyond its first season.
Key Activities
- Production and nutrition training
- Support for market access and presentation
Objectives
- Improve household nutrition through locally grown moringa
- Support women-led production and sale of goods
